Privacy Policy Online Survey

The following privacy information informs you about the processing of your personal data that we collect from you when you participate in the online survey „PropTech Survey for REAL PropTech Pitches“. Your personal data will be processed in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations.

Participation in the survey is voluntary. All information will be treated confidentially.

 

  1. a) Processing for the purpose of sending the results

 

At the end of the survey it is mandatory to provide the name and e-mail address of a contact person in your company. Your e-mail address will not be merged with the survey data and will be stored separately from your answers. The email address will only be used for communication regarding participation in the REAL PropTech Pitches 2021 event. The processing of your e-mail address is based on Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

 

  1. b) Processing of responses

As a rule, no personal data is collected when answering the questions of our survey. Insofar as the choice or formulation of the answers makes it possible to draw conclusions about the person of the participant, the data processing is carried out to protect our legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. f DSGVO. The purpose of the survey is to collect and analyze information about your company and your products for admission to the REAL PropTech Pitches in order to identify practical support options or to link the participating company with contacts from established industry companies within the scope of BPB’s Tech Scouting. In addition, information about market entry and market barriers, market sentiment indicators and cooperations will be analyzed in the PropTech Germany Study 2020. These are to be seen as legitimate interests in the sense of the above-mentioned regulation.

We store the questions and answers of the survey. Furthermore, the results will be evaluated and analyzed by BPB employees. Results from the section titled PropTech Germany Study can also be evaluated and analyzed by employees of the TH Aschaffenburg as co-editor of the study.

The answers will be stored beyond the evaluation according to Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. a DSGVO.

The documentation and possible publication of the survey results will only be done in anonymous form, without mentioning your name and without giving any information that would allow conclusions about your company or person.

 

  1. Transfer of data

As a matter of principle, we do not pass on your data. A transfer to third parties is only possible if:

you have given your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a DSGVO; this is necessary for the fulfillment of a contract with you according to Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. b DSGVO or in the event that there is a legal obligation to pass on the data pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. c DSGVO. A transfer of personal data to a third country (outside the EU) or an international organization is excluded.

 

  1. Rights of data subjects

You have the right: according to Art. 7 para. 3 DSGVO to revoke your once given consent to us at any time. As a result, we are not allowed to continue the data processing that was based on this consent in the future;

in accordance with Art. 15 DSGVO to request information about your personal data processed by us. In particular, you may request information on the purposes of processing, the category of personal data, the categories of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed, the planned storage period, the existence of a right of correction, deletion, restriction of processing or opposition, the existence of a right of appeal, the origin of your data, if not collected by us, as well as the existence of automated decision making including profiling and, if applicable, meaningful information on the details of such data;

in accordance with Art. 16 DSGVO, to immediately demand the correction of incorrect or incomplete personal data stored by us;

pursuant to Art. 17 DSGVO to demand the deletion of your personal data stored with us, unless processing is necessary to exercise the right to freedom of expression and information, to fulfil a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest or to assert, exercise or defend legal claims;

pursuant to Art. 18 DSGVO, to demand the restriction of the processing of your personal data, insofar as the accuracy of the data is disputed by you, the processing is unlawful, but you refuse to delete it and we no longer require the data, but you require it for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims or you have lodged an objection to the processing pursuant to Art. 21 DSGVO;

in accordance with Art. 20 DSGVO, to receive your personal data that you have provided us with in a structured, common and machine-readable format or to request that it be transferred to another responsible party and complain to a supervisory authority in accordance with Art. 77 DSGVO. As a rule, you can contact the supervisory authority at your usual place of residence or workplace or at our company headquarters.

Right of objection

If your personal data are processed on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1, sentence 1, letter f) DSGVO, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data pursuant to Art. 21 DSGVO, if there are reasons for doing so arising from your particular situation or if the objection is directed against direct marketing. In the latter case, you have a general right of objection, which will be implemented by us without specifying a special situation.

We use appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or against unauthorized access by third parties.
